Privacy Policy

Last updated October 12, 2026

Manibooking is operated by That Nails Technologies LLC ("That Nails Technologies LLC", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through Manibooking - used by nail salons to manage appointments, and by their clients to book them - and how we use it.

Information we collect

  • Contact information you give us: name, email address, and mobile phone number.
  • Messaging consent: whether you opted in to text messages, the wording you agreed to, when, and from which page - kept as the record of your opt-in.
  • Appointment information: the salon, services, technician, date and time you book.
  • Account information: your sign-in email and, if you set one, a password.
  • Technical information: IP address and timestamps, kept for security and fraud prevention.
  • Messages you send a salon on Facebook or Instagram, if that salon connected its accounts to Manibooking - see "Facebook and Instagram messages" below, and comments you leave on that salon's posts - see "Comments, posts and post numbers".

How we use it

  • To create and manage your appointments with the salon you book.
  • To send appointment confirmations, reminders, and changes by email and, if you opt in, by text.
  • To operate, secure, and improve Manibooking.
  • To respond to you when you contact us for support.

We do not sell your personal information. We never give your name, email, or phone number to advertisers. On a salon's own website, and only if you allow ad cookies there, the salon's Google and Meta ad tags can learn that a page was visited or a booking was made - see "Ad measurement" below.

SMS privacy

If you check the SMS consent box when you create an account or book, we and the salon you book with may text your mobile phone number about your appointments - confirmations, reminders, reschedules, and cancellations. These are the Manibooking appointment notifications: transactional messages only, sent by That Nails Technologies LLC. No marketing or promotional messages are sent under this program.

  • Message frequency: varies, based on your appointment activity.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP, or email support@manibooking.com, for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We use your mobile phone number and consent record only to send the appointment messages you opted in to, to honor your STOP and HELP requests, and to verify your phone number when you book. We do not send marketing text messages.

You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send, or from your account settings. See our Terms & Conditions for the full SMS program terms.

Facebook and Instagram messages

A salon that uses Manibooking may connect its own Facebook Page and Instagram professional account so that messages customers send it arrive in one place. If you message a salon there, we receive and store that conversation on the salon's behalf.

  • What we store: the text of the messages in the conversation, the number of photos or files attached (not the files themselves), when each message was sent, your display name on that platform, and the identifier the platform gives us for you, which identifies you only to that salon's page.
  • Translation: most salon owners we serve read Vietnamese rather than English. We send the message text to an AI provider to translate it and to propose a reply in both languages. The provider processes the text for us and does not use it for anything else.
  • Who answers you: a person at the salon. A proposed reply is only ever shown to them; nothing is sent to you until someone at the salon reads it and sends it. We do not reply automatically.
  • What we do not do: we do not use these messages for advertising, we do not sell them, and we do not share them with other salons.

We keep a conversation for as long as the salon's account is open, so the salon can see what was said. You can ask us to delete yours at any time - email support@manibooking.com, or remove Manibooking from your Facebook settings, which tells us to delete it. See our data deletion page for how that works.

Comments, posts and post numbers

A salon that connected its Facebook Page and Instagram account also uses Manibooking to answer comments on its own posts, and to publish its own photos. This is the same arrangement as above: we act for the salon on the salon's own accounts, and a person at the salon decides what is said.

  • Comments you leave: if you comment on a salon's post asking about a service or a price, we store the text of your comment, your display name on that platform, when you wrote it, and the identifier the platform gives us for you. We translate it for the salon owner and propose an answer, the same way we do with a message.
  • Who answers your comment: a person at the salon. Nothing is posted under your comment until someone at the salon reads the proposed answer and sends it. We do not reply automatically.
  • Posts we publish for a salon: the photos and captions are the salon's own. We help write the caption; the salon owner reads it, edits it if they want, and taps Approve. Only then do we publish it to that salon's own Page or Instagram account. We never publish to anyone else's account, and we never publish without that approval.
  • Post numbers: we show a salon how its own posts did - how many people saw a post, and how many liked or commented on it. These are counts for the salon's own posts. We do not receive, store or show who those people are.

You can have a comment we hold deleted the same way as a conversation - email support@manibooking.com, or remove Manibooking from your Facebook settings.

Ad measurement

Some salons advertise on Google, Facebook, and Instagram, and we run those ads for them. To tell a salon whether its ads bring in bookings, we do the following:

  • Our own count: when you arrive from one of those ads, we keep a random code in your browser for up to 30 days. If you book at that salon, the booking is marked as coming from its ad, and the salon sees totals (bookings, visits, revenue). The code says nothing about you and is never sent to Google or Meta.
  • Google and Meta tags, only if you allow them: on a salon's own website, if the salon uses ad measurement, we ask first. Only if you choose Allow, the salon's Google Ads tag and Meta Pixel load and set their cookies, and they are told that a page was visited or that a booking was made, with a random booking reference. We do not send your name, email, phone number, or appointment details, and we do not turn on remarketing or upload customer lists. Google's and Meta's use of what their tags collect is covered by their own privacy policies.
  • Your choice: choose Reject, or use your browser's Global Privacy Control, and no Google or Meta ad tags load. Booking works the same either way. You can change your choice at any time with "Ad cookie settings" at the bottom of the salon's website. This choice is separate from your email and text message preferences.

Who we share information with

We share appointment details with the salon you book, and use service providers (email delivery, SMS delivery, hosting, error monitoring, and AI translation for salon messages and comments) strictly to operate Manibooking on our behalf. On a salon's own website, and only with your permission, the salon's Google and Meta ad tags receive the visit and booking events described under "Ad measurement". We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

You can review and update your name, email, and phone number from your account. You can unsubscribe from text messages at any time by replying STOP, and from reminder emails from your account settings. On a salon's own website, "Ad cookie settings" lets you allow or reject its ad measurement cookies.
